  9.  AB    The Sacred Heart Hospice, Sydney, was founded in 1890 and is the largest
  10.        inpatient palliative-care facility in Australia. Patients with advanced
  11.        cancer form the predominant patient group, although patients with
  12.        HIV/AIDS account for approximately 20% of admissions. A
  13.        community-outreach service, established in 1983, cares for more patients
  14.        at home than in the Hospice. Recently the Hospice has participated in a
  15.        number of clinical trials and intends to become a regional centre for
  16.        palliative-care research, education and training.
